I have given and continue to give free seminars for that purpose, and the one you attended was one. So let me explain it little more... Not handing out Business Cards is a personal decission, and I have explained to you why I was no longer handing them out. I stopped handing out business cards because hardly anyone ever use them and simply collect them. How many business cards have you collected so far and have you optimized the use of them? If I would have said "you know what? I'm so sorry I am out of business cards right now" instead of explaining why I don't hand out business cards would have been better choice of words? Both end up with me not giving out business cards, the first approach gives false justification. I opted to explain why I don't really give them out. Now, if you read this article again, I have explained exactly what I was thinking and why I did it. And you managed to find my site even without my business card (which by the way, does not have my website on it just my phone number). I do not have a reason to call you and dont want to call because I believe your time is important to you. I do have a reason to learn more about you and this business. Sorry that I did not convey that to you that night. I thought you were there to help not to screen who contacts you. I am a newbie and was invited by a friend that night.  I was very impressed with your talk and thought if I were to get your card I could find out more about you and this website. There was nothing given out that night about who you were or how to spell your common name. You were there that night to educate, I was there to learn, I learned alot and wanted to find out more about you. Now as you read this you are probably laughing and thiking this guy doesnt get it. Your right. I dont. Maybe I should have walked around and asked everyone there "Who is this guy and where can I get more info about him?" or maybe you could have just given me a card. As I stated earlier, I believe everyones time is important. I am very careful about taking up my friends time. I could have gone back to him and asked him for directory assistance or you could have just given me a card.
